Built on a foundation that traces back to 1985 with the establishment of our tea farms, the company represents decades of agricultural experience combined with a modern, structured approach to quality, traceability, and market readiness.

The company is led by a founder with lifelong experience in coffee cultivation and a strong background in the sector, having served as a director at the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA). This depth of knowledge and leadership brings both technical expertise and practical understanding to every aspect of our operations.

Rooted in the Slopes of Mount Kenya

At the heart of Kenya’s most fertile highlands, where rich volcanic soils meet cool mountain air, Mt Kenya Coffee and Tea Packers was founded with a singular purpose — to bring the true character of our land to the world.

Our journey begins on the slopes of Mount Kenya, where coffee and tea are cultivated at elevations between 1,500 and 2,200 meters above sea level. In this environment, crops mature slowly, developing the depth, clarity, and complexity that define some of the world’s most sought-after profiles. Many of the coffee trees we work with are decades old, deeply rooted in mineral-rich soils, producing cherries with concentrated flavor and exceptional balance.

What sets us apart is our direct connection to the source. Beyond working closely with local growers, we also operate our own farms within the Mount Kenya region. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain strict control over quality at every stage — from cultivation to processing — while ensuring full traceability of our products.
